Our Laser Technology Centre utilises the latest high volume production equipment and purpose-built systems designed to meet our customer’s specific medical component requirements.

With the capability to laser-cut features in tube from 0.20mm Ø to 20mm Ø, and with a minimum 0.012mm kerf width, we can meet the needs of most medical device component designs.

  • The Laser Technology Centre is located in 2 purpose built temperature controlled, clean manufacturing environments.
  • 4-axis tube laser cutting (providing off-axis profiles for cutting blades and interface feature)
  • 5-axis laser cutting (unique capability and component supply possible in 48 hours)
  • Flat-bed micro-laser cutting
  • Micro laser welding incl. automated welding systems (0.1mm spot size)
  • Laser marking – metal & plastic
  • Laser cutting most metal alloys from stainless steel to Nitinol

Our laser technology capabilities have allowed XL Precision Technologies to provide our customers with rapid development support, and to ship over 2.75 million laser cut components in 2016.
